The point is that Democrats have not wrestled with their own role in enabling the genocide. Only Ro Khanna has come out and bluntly acknowledged it.

To only point the finger at Trump, without admitting their own mistakes funding a genocide- 40,000 dead women and children, 70% of Gaza destroyed, all before Jan 20, 2025 - would come across as amnesiac, hypocritical and lacking in moral authority. Trump would have a field day. Voters important to a Democratic victory would roll their eyes and stay home again, probably for good.
