Over 90% of President Trump’s tariffs have been paid by U.S. consumers.

In the flurry of his executive orders, press conferences, threats, and concessions, the New York Fed said what we all knew to be true: it’s American consumers who are getting the short end of the stick in these silly trade wars.

Right after the Supreme Court ruled against his ability to unilaterally impose tariffs, he vowed to simply use a different mechanism to do the same thing – and he immediately announced a 10% global tariff, followed very quickly by increasing it to 15%.

Folks, Trump looks like a clown. And our economic standing in the world is laughable.
