Asking our 'political class' to be on top of this situation? When organizations and institutions around the world - including the purveyors and practitioners themselves - struggle to come to grips (or even complete understanding?) of the total phenomena? But 'politics' really should have a 'handle'?

Seriously? How's that work?
Sure we should be talking about this - probably every day. But expecting our political leaders (or orgs) to be well out in front .... Can't see it. And I don't think we can realistically be expecting it.
