Beshear has pulled it off because he's a governor and people are more willing to split their ticket for races like that, PLUS his father was a super popular governor, so the name recognition helps.

At this moment though, winning a Kentucky senate seat is basically impossible. Doesn't mean we shouldn't try, and do the work towards flipping it longterm. But present moment? Zero percent chance.
