My mom, who is 97, lives in Florida. Every nurse, aide, private aide, helper, etc., is an immigrant. Mostly from the Carribean, especially Haiti, DR, and Jamaica.

She has a list of aides and recommends to many of her friends when they need one.

I have a good friend whose MIL needed an aide due to dementia progression. My my knew of some one who is fantastic and they interviewed and hired her. She has been with the MIL for at least 4 years now. My friend tells me every time I speak with her how she is a godsend. The MIL is in assisted living but still needs her own aide.

Multiply this scenario by millions of seniors in just Florida.
