In an elementary physics class, I once pointed out the absurdity of a highly advanced technological civilization navigating across vast distances to our tiny planet in order to put on light shows above rural back roads. And vandalize row crops.

One student suggested that the culprits were teen-aged Space Aliens out for some weekend fun.

I could not see any objection to that point.
