The Republicans are a lot better at recognizing shifts in American sentiment than Democrats are. Their focus grouos and internal polling are undoubtedly tells them that Americans are poyally pissed off at having the Israeli tail wag the American dog year after year. Vance is mouthing some tough talk to try to take the upper ground on this issue with the American people. It is a smart move and it will probably work for them. They don't have to actually change anything. They just want the appearance of being tough with the Israelis.

Meanwhile, AIPAC continues to call all the shots. AIPAC is not our friend. AIPAC is not good for America. AIPAC is not good for American Jews. and ultimately, AIPAC is not good for Israel, either.
