State College, PA, and Mt. Holly, NJ CWAs (County Warning Areas) as the storms had a history of formation of severe cells, including a confirmed tornado along the line of convection that formed on a cold front that ran down from PA, through MD and into VA.

I think it's silly when you have people dismissing severe weather potential - particularly when lighting is in the forecast (I have been down there many times over 30 years during the warmer months and there is something about the topography that can enhance the storms). And because D.C. Is a relatively "flat" city, features like the Washington Monument are something that naturally get hit (with the electricity then grounded).

So it IS a BFD, as storms that can produce super cells should be treated as such.
