... everything is performative, but he's so obtuse that he doesn't realize that taxpayer-funded stunts like this one send a message that is the diametric opposite of what he intended. Like his boss, he's always mugging for the camera, and he's hollow inside; there's nothing there. But, being the consummate sociopath, he couldn't care less, as long as he gets an ATTABOY! from his idiot cronies.
