to get anywhere in life. I think back a few decades to when I was the first woman on a police force. I guess I should have been more understanding when I ended up in an altercation with a woman I was trying to arrest and the poor, white, male officers just stood there and watched what was later described around the station as a "cat fight." Then there was the wage issue before I went to the police academy and was still at my IBM Selectric in the pink ghetto typing reports. Barely above minimum wage. The suffering of white men brings a person to tears.
