This doesn't alter state taxes. There is a federal tax on schedule 1 & 2 drugs that is the IRS rule 280e, cooked up during the 1980s drug hysteria. It has created barriers to legal businesses as the rules were created for "crack houses". Weird particulars where the drug's purchase is a deductable expense, but rent on the facility isn't. Also blocked credit cards. This still leaves cannabis on schedule 1 for all but state licenced businesses.
