Yesterday

where people stop traveling by most types of vehicle (other than maybe electric) due to the cost of fuel.

That then applies to all the TRUCKERS now having to pay exorbitant prices for diesel to MOVE goods (foods, fuel, manufactured goods, etc) from place to place, and the whole thing starts to snowball down hill.
