she is the opposition leader to the current taiwan's ruling party(DPP). not opposition leader to china.

she's not popular even in her own party. she's the sarah palin of KMT.

Most people in Taiwan don't care about those 'ties'. many considers her a traitor for trying to kill the US arms sales to Taiwan.
