It would have been smarter for the US to send a team of negotiators from a different country, like Canada, one without skin in the game.

You know, people who seriously want to resolve this as best as possible without pushing any agenda.

US negotiators don't have a good track record in resolving things.

I hope the mediators in the US-Iran talks know what to do and how to deal with American/Iranian bluff and bluster.

No doubt Vance will be checking out the local couches though.
