But point is that I have no confidence in the justice system to do the right thing.

I mean there was just a story of a megachurch pastor that raped a child in his congregation for almost three years (12-15) and pled guilty but only got 30 days in jail.

So that is the kind of thing I can see happening, "oh, he's old, we will give him 5 years of house arrest" or something similarly insane.
That is my concern.
