Israel has said its military operations in Lebanon will continue despite Donald Trumps ceasefire announcement, with Israeli forces carrying out strikes and telling civilians in the south of the country to leave the areas they are targeting.
The office of the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said that Trumps two-week pause does not include Lebanon amid reports of continued artillery and drone strikes, directly contradicting statements made by Iran and Pakistan, which has been mediating in the conflict.
Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister of Pakistan, said that Iran, the US and their allies had agreed to an immediate ceasefire everywhere including Lebanon and elsewhere as he announced the ceasefire overnight.

On Wednesday morning, a spokesperson for the Israeli military said it was continuing its operations against Hezbollah and told people in southern Lebanon to move north of the Zahrani River.

The Zahrani River is about 10km north of the Litani River, which was earlier the northern limit of the zone Israel has expelled all Lebanese from.
