The world knows F15s normally have a crew of two. So the only way to make it appear as if the US wasn't still searching for one would have been to immediately lie that both had been retrieved, the moment it was reported the plane was shot down.

Fucking Dunning-Kruger regime. They can't even manufacture a plausible excuse to bully the media.
