Trump Boasts of 'Unlimited' US Weapons Stockpiles [View all]

President Donald Trump has said the U.S. has a "virtually unlimited supply" of some key munitions, contradicting reports that U.S. forces deployed to the Middle East could run down weapons stockpiles far quicker than the weekslong campaign outlined by the White House.
According to Trump, American stockpiles of "medium and upper medium grade" munitions have "never been higher or better." However, he quickly added that supplies of the most expensive, advanced weapons "are not where we want to be."
U.S. and Israeli forces have been striking Iranian sites since early Saturday while defending against retaliatory drone and missile attacks from Tehran, which have continued for a fourth day.
Israel separately said on Tuesday its troops would advance into southern Lebanon after Iran-backed Hezbollah, the dominant militant group in Lebanon, said it had struck three Israeli military sites. The U.S. Embassy in Kuwait shut its doors on Tuesday as Saudi officials confirmed a fire had broken out at the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh following a drone strike.
