Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System. The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program is a no fault compensation program for anyone who suffers an adverse reaction to a vaccine. It's been in place for decades.

In rare cases, A vaccine can cause a serious problem like a severe allergic reaction. The DPT shot can cause an arthus reaction but its really unusual. I looked it up once and there are under 20 of these in any given year in America.

I, myself, had a bad reaction to a Shingles shot. Not bad enough to seek compensation but I did report it through the VAERS system. My sister also had a severe reaction. A lot of these incidents are due to genetics and not the integrity of the vaccine hence the government compensation program.
