During Monday's walkout by Grand Island Senior High School students, a 54-year-old man and some Grand Island Senior High students exchanged blows near a nearby elementary school.

Accounts vary as to what led to the skirmish.

The adult was arrested, accused of assaulting a juvenile, and one juvenile, also accused of assault, was cited. It's possible that other juveniles may be cited, said Division Chief Dean Elliot of the Grand Island Police Department.

Police say the adult drove past in a pickup and yelled comments in support of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
