4. I think you're mistaking the point of my post which was not "Poland has no right to do it"

However:

Poland is a signatory to the Nuclear Non‑Proliferation Treaty (NPT), which bars it from developing its own nuclear weapons; any move toward a national arsenal would collide with that regime and trigger massive pushback from EU partners and the US.

Sovereignty is still subject to treaties. Also all EU-member nations have given up varying degrees of their "sovereignty" in order to be part of the collective. Also, Iran is also a sovereign nation, but the world seems to have decided they're not going along with their building nukes.

And I certainly was not meaning to imply Russia being dickheads is not the provocation leading to Poland considering this option, because they definitely are. Fuck Russia, Fuck Putin!!!

I guess we'll see what happens AFA what kind of political pressure the world (the EU in particular) brings to bear against Poland developing nukes, but one thing I bet the EU considers is that Poland putting a bunch of nukes on their territory *right next* to Russia means that if it fell to Russia? Russia would then take over a bunch of nukes that are also really close to a lot of the rest of the EU
