And in my experience, most of the information was not countered. In other words, newspapers generally used what they were told by police press contacts.

In a case such as this, though, where video counters that information, it should have been at least questioned as to its accuracy. It was fairly obvious that it wasn't accurate and was just word salad and outright lies.

The Trump admin. is going to back that ICE goon no matter what. That seems fairly obvious.
