In reply to the discussion: Democratic Gov. Says He's 'Considering' Clemency for Pro-Trump Official Convicted of Election Breach [View all]PatrickforB
(15,347 posts)In fact, I have been pretty disappointed in his governorship. He's presided over some real debacles.
The two Democrats who stand a chance of winning the primary are Michael Bennett and Phil Weiser. I like Weiser a bit better as a potential governor, but either would be better than Polis.
I sure wish we had a firebrand like Crockett or AOC in Colorado, though. Institutionalists abound and to survive the descent into Trump-nazism we may well need to get ugly, by which I mean things like massive civil disobedience in the face of sure violence, and acting financially as a sovereign state to cut off tax withholding monies to the Feds because we simply do not have a federal government at this point that is in any way representing us, yet we are all still being taxed heavily to support dirtbags like these billionaires and nazis like Noem, Miller and Bannon. These people aren't doing any American state, city, town, rural area, family or individual a damned bit of good. This latest outrage in Minneapolis just underscores what we've known all along about these assholes.
