where they would object to everything Demcrats tried to do to help people, and then would go back to their constituents to hypocritically say - "See what I brought home to you!!!" (in many cases, stuff they DIDN'T vote for so they could be on record "owning the libs" ).

I.e., the sanitized term is "earmarks".

In the past when he was still in Congress, the (former-Rep./Senator) Jeff Flake was active calling them out. During every appropriations debate, I used to spot him when watching CSPAN, ranting and holding up and waving around a piece of paper that he would eventually read from, that included a selected list of "earmarks" that he objected to.

I don't think the GOP realized that their "dear leader" understood the unspoken "rule" that you don't overturn your own's piggy trough.
