Maybe AI will be actually usable many years down the road. Until we see actual results beyond deep fakes and some other unimpressive stuff I think it will be over promise and under deliver.

Every technological change has been disruptive. This one may be worse because of the resources being poured into it. Resources that could be better utilized elsewhere.

Btw, there is no AI “race”. Companies aren’t going to stop developing AI just like they haven’t stopped developing other hardware and software.

As for DeathSantis? He is playing on fear. He doesn’t actually give a shit.
