Ir's basic human psychology to "fill in the blanks" and I could cite cases where management at work kept radio silence on most everything, and then hired consultants to preach to us about not speculating or starting rumors.

If you must know, a buddy and I switched name plates, and made the lecturer look like a big dummy. His name was Joe Czap, nicknamed "Zap the Crap". (Teach employees to behave nicely, no matter how they are disenfranchised)
