That convinced a lot of clueless low information voters into thinking he was personally giving the money to the poeple.

This time he will call it the tariff stimulus. Sure we’re paying more for most goods and services, but yay we got a thousand bucks.

Can’t underestimate how gullible people are, even supposedly educated people.
