In reply to the discussion: White House on the defensive when asked how billionaire Trump can tell average Americans to limit kids' Christmas gifts [View all]ShazzieB
(22,222 posts)24. He's made an obscene amount of money from all the grifting he's done since getting elected potus the first time.
During the first term, I kept hearing that he wasn't nearly as rich as he claimed, that he probably wasn't even a billionaire, etc. But he started grifting every way he could right away, and has continued ever since. Even during the four years he was out of office, he was selling overpriced "Trump Bibles," gold hightop sneakers, and God knows what else. (I haven't bothered to keep track, but it's s been one thing after another, plus an untold amount for selling classified documents that he stole.)
Since he got back into office, it's obvious the grifting has gone into overdrive. He's evidently even selling pardons. There's no telling how rich he'll be by the end of this term (or the day he drops dead, whichever comes first).

When tariffs are raised, domestic producers raise their prices, too. A dollar or two increase? In a pig's ear.

Plus pencils can last for years. And children outgrow dolls which also last for years. What a dolt orange man is.

Trump never got any toys, until he became President, and they weren't from Santa.
