While it turned out to be a disaster (McGovern) they had one of the last great Democratic Labor rallies for McG in midtown.

I climbed up a lamppost w camera, and took pics of McG, Lindsay, and Ted Kennedy. I had to zoom in on the negatives to get a closer image of them . I think I still have the prints I made.

Saw Hillary give a speech for Bill.
Then one of the coolest rallies was B Clinton giving a speech a day or two before the '92 election. It was in ?Jersey City.

Having traveled around the US twice, plus DC, Philadelphia, Boston going to a NJ city was no problem. Actually, I'd already had been to Newark Airport. Except, I can't remember how I knew where to go once I got out of the train station!

Anyway, I was listening to hear the crowds cheering in the distance as my guide! 😄 I got there in time. Everyone was semi-bundled up. It was in front of a 4 story or so ? block long government or judicial building. It was sooo cool!
I did a really good drawing of it later. I don't know if I still have it.

And my sister and I went down to Clinton's first Inauguration, both of Obama's. Sooo exciting, and uplifting!
Clinton's, and Obama's 2nd were on the warmish side for January. But Obama's first one? Clear, and bright, but Brrrrrrrrrrr!
