Also, for some reason the prosecution is dragging this case out as long as possible. My guess is that they know that their evidence is legally tainted and they don't know what to do.

They know what to do. Delay, delay, delay, while the Trump Administration chips away at our legal protections, and before you know it, those violations of Luigi's rights and that tainted evidence will no longer be concerns for them.
