The Whitehouse approving the Signal app for communications should be the real scandal here.

The app will allow them to break the Federal Records Act. They are communicating in a manner that allows the chats to expire and be deleted after a set time. Therefore their meetings, discussions and decisions will not be preserved to be archived as required by law

This is by design and on top of all of that, The NSA issued a bulletin in February specifically about the Signal app and its known exploits and vulnerabilities warning that is was not to be used for government communications let alone to hold sensitive discussions about classified material

The fact that they are using the app at all should be a bigger part of this scandal but is barely being talked about by anyone

This was part of the Project 2025 playbook not communicating in a way that their comms could be preserved so it was part of their plan to openly defy the records act and avoid the archiving of their crimes
