I think the Russians are blowing hot air. They have struggled mightily over three years fighting the fierce Ukrainian military. There's been a lot of human losses and destruction of combat assets.

There's no real appetite among Russians to take on the European "Coalition of the Willing" at this time. Putin and Medvedev know this. But it won't prevent their bluster.
