I’m obviously not local and see these guys often. Give em a wave and smile. Yeah, they’re armed but to me, it’s like seeing the cops in Europe in the airports…no big deal. I certainly understand why they’re concerned.
The sheriff’s patrol was pretty conciliatory toward the nazi visitors and did their utmost to make them feel comfortable. Stopped short of ordering in coffee and donuts for them.
So I’m good with neighborhood patrols (especially since Lincoln heights doesn’t have a village police force and depends on the county sheriff).
