This will make Schumer radioactive. Someone here on DU mentioned that on Rachel's show she said something about the DOJ threatening him and that might have been the catalyst for his compitulation.
Either way, he is compromised. He should retire as soon as a replacement can be found and Patty Murray should be the new Senate minority leader.
