Trump got their attention.
We need to find out more about why they voted for Trump and their Republican reps. What are those people giving them? If these voters are cultists theres probably little value in working on them too much, but a few will flip hard.
Most of these people (Im from this class) are like landed gentry. They talk poor, but they are not poor. They are not stupid, but their interests are local and focused and if theyre involved in local politics it is very local. Some of them are more like landlords, some absentee. They are really, really focused on money. They live well but theres not enough margin to have much FU money. They are sort of like the upper middle class voters that Dems attract in the cities but there are some cultural differences, and many of them live in a very right wing bubble space.
