39. Drone sightings confirmed over Hill Air Force Base in Utah

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah (KUTV) — Military officials have confirmed “unmanned aerial systems” or drones have been spotted near Hill Air Force Base.

Mysterious drone sightings have sparked widespread concern across the United States, with military experts warning of potential security risks.

Following drone sightings in the east, a New York airport temporarily shut down its runways.

In a statement released Monday afternoon, officials at Hill AFB confirmed the sightings near the Davis County air base.

They said the drones have not impacted the base.

“We can confirm that unmanned aerial systems were spotted in the vicinity of Hill AFB recently. To date, unmanned aerial systems have not impacted Hill AFB operations and all appropriate measures are being taken to safeguard Hill AFB personnel, assets, and infrastructure,” the statement read.

Military operations confirm they're closely monitoring our airspace—and community members are keeping watch as well.
