In NYC, Tri-State. NY/NJ/CN we rarely get tornadoes!!!
In fact the first one I ever heard about (and I'm a bit of a weather fan) was in the ?80's across The Hudson River by Ft Lee, NJ - just across by The GW Bridge.

Looked it up, and supposedly there was one every ten yrs or so. I never heard of them!

Then in the mid- 00's living in Brooklyn for a time we got small ones 2xs or so a year for several years! Wtf?!
