I hate it, but just like world leaders, top news media personalities will have two choices:
Suck up to him to get any access or become another declared enemy.

I'm Canadian, and I am loathing the next four years where our PM has no choice but to lick Trumps shoes and tell him he's the best. Still probably won't be enough to stop the Trudeau hatefest. And if Poilievre the conservative wins the next election, he'll have to do the same. And that goes for all world leaders. Macron seemed to find a sweet spot with him. While I'm sure privately gagging about it.
