'Just now, Former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman leaves the hospital [View all]
after recovering from emergency heart surgery, performed Friday. Doctors found a blockage during a routine exam that could have cause immediate death, but they acted quickly to perform surgery.
Siegelman's son Joseph said “My dad was blessed to be in the right place at the right time."
