2. Both parties have their issues but the Democrats are always expected to be the adults in the room.

And of course, EVERYONE should try to be an adult in the proverbial room. But when Republicans aren't, their base doesn't care. When one of ours isn't, we eventually run them out of town and we've gone too far with that at times (Al Franken) but it just another example of how much more Democrats hold themselves accountable.

Weiner and Swalwell are persona non grata.
