The protestant religions of England have a habit of considering themselves "the correct" religion I don't know what goes on in the rest of Europe, but I sort of suspect that it's similar.

It's more than a bit amazing how they took Luther's Many ideas about the need for reformation and thenbroke it into fragments around picking an choosing amid bits of ideology that distinguish between the bad "them" and the good "us

My heritage on my mother's side is from Britain, Scotland, and Ireland so I'm one of the folks in the stone soup commenting on what we swim amongst, rather than someone saying you've got to make the social soup with (or without) rutabagas.

Liberalism is characterized with tolerance, and the US seriously needs to lean into all the tolerance that can be mustered.

We need to move away from special "entitling" rules of the haughty "correct", and move toward peaceful coexistence among the "prickly pears" who can recognize that an enforced homogeneity by the "Social Masters" is actually not a good thing, but a suppressive thing that holds us back from social progress
