(4,481 posts)Piker doesn't "support" terrorism. He supports Palestinians in their cause and in their right to life and self-determination - something many in the West but especially Israel don't care about. He is a threat to the Western heterodoxy on Israel and as we see he is being silenced. Wonder who will be next?
If you care about Palestinians and their cause, and their very right to exist as a people, or their genocide, in fact if you view all humans as equal, then of course Israel is a thousand times worse than Hamas in the context of harm caused. But people who don't care about those things or don't prioritize it in their worldview, or want to cover up Israel's crimes or simply don't grasp the meaning of oppression, occupation and resistance - will tell you Piker is a terrorist supporter.
I've seen it play out over and over with other prominent Palestinian supporters. Apparently all of them are "terrorist supporters". Especially the effective ones and those making inroads with young people.
I'm not sure who exactly you mean is saying "Jews control..." - me or Piker, who to my knowledge never says that. If it's me, I'm a bit shocked that you interpreted my last post in that way. If you are saying I said that, that is false. Nor do I approve of "murderous fundamentalist Islamic organizations".
And as far as ideological rabbit holes go....not speaking of you here specifically... I would suggest that people who are still supporting Israel in the face of its horrific terrorist-type actions and expansionism at any cost agenda, might want to examine how much further down that ideological rabbit hole they are willing to go and at what cost.
