I wonder how many Germans, after the war, believed in much the same way as most of the folks here believe? Did they question whether they could ever forgive those Nazis that followed Hitler to ruin? Is that why they tore down all the monuments to that monster?
There are more similarities than most Americans care to admit, in my opinion.
How many German families were torn apart because of their love for the Fuhrer? How many people were heartbroken when they asked their friends, "Can't you see what is happening?"
Once we asked, "How could the German people, intelligent as any on Earth, let this happen?"
I think we now know.
