The few who are angry jerks who want to burn the whole country down can't exactly bask in forgiveness. I just hope losing for a while will convince them to retreat back into their toxic little groups of like minded assholes, going back to prepping for doomsday. I don't exactly forgive such people, but since I'd rather see them than be them, I suppose there's some tepid compassion there.

Face it, party honchos funked it. They failed to address inflation and the late switcheroo from an obviously ill Biden to Harris was handled poorly and made them look disorganized and weak. I don't fault people or falling for Fatso's crap. Most are not falling for it now.
