19. I've met some of the remaining 25 percent.

They know where I stand - that their decision to vote for Old Colostomy in 2024 was a grievous sin that calls for atonement, and that they'll have to work hard to show me they've learned from their mistake. But I really have met some people who made that mistake and who are now regretful. Their ability to express that regret has varied from fully transparent ("I can't believe I was so stupid!&quot to barely acknowledged ("This hasn't really turned out the way I'd hoped yet.&quot . But I do think some of them would be very vocal in their disappointment.

That said, some of these people really are all they way in with Twinklesphincter. It's a matter of identity - they see themselves as part of a community - some of us would say cult - led by someone who they think is on their side. It doesn't matter how much evidence they're shown that Captain Combover doesn't give a shit about them, or how much his mental capacity has dwindled, or how badly his decisions have gone. To admit that the person for whom they voted should never have been allowed in the White House is to challenge their own sense of self.
