do research on candidates and their stances on issues, etc. before deciding who deserves our votes. Too many Trump voters in 2015/16 failed to find out what Trump had been during his adult life...a man unworthy of serving in public office, especially higher office. His eventual supporters failed the rest of us. That, in itself, is hard to forgive when the consequences of a poor choice for president are so dire. As for the "willfully ignorant" whose self-serving actions, whatever the motivations, contributed to his election...well, they are even harder to forgive. Too many Trump voters allowed themselves to be swayed by Republican Party wedge issues and culture war strategies. As for the flat-out haters and bigots who flocked to him, they are impossible to forgive.

I don't even want to talk about forgiveness for anyone voting for him the second time around!
