There are plenty of women who stay with men because there are myriad issues that come up if you've been married a long time - you've got intermingled families, kids, a good income, health insurance - and all of a sudden, the spouse is in the spotlight with a stupid mistake (or mistakes). Hillary Clinton even did it, and she was pretty accomplished on her own. It's not just that women are brought up to "stand by their man" - there are a lot of practical reasons, especially if you're over 40 and gave up your career (if you ever had one) to raise your kids.

She may have the independent funds to leave, she may not. She may be watching to see how this race plays out. Maybe she's willing to forgive him to keep the status quo. Women can be very pragmatic. But I wouldn't assume she still loves him.
