(38,037 posts)11. The fact that REDACTED is still abusing aspirin really says it all about him...
Not only would it explain most of the visible signs of progressive physical decline. It also illustrates his rejection of the idea that anyone may know more than he does, including doctors and anyone with a lick of sense. Who knows, maybe after it was first brought up he is doubling down just to show them!
Major Long-Term Effects
Gastrointestinal (GI) Bleeding and Ulcers: Aspirin blocks the enzymes that help protect the stomach lining. Over time, this often leads to gastritis, stomach ulcers, and a heightened risk of serious upper GI bleeding. nhs.uk
Hemorrhagic Stroke: While aspirin protects against clot-related (ischemic) strokes, its blood-thinning effect simultaneously increases the risk of bleeding in the brain (hemorrhagic stroke). Mayo Clinic
Easy Bruising and Bleeding: Because aspirin permanently disables platelets, your blood takes longer to clot. This results in easier bruising, nosebleeds, or prolonged bleeding from minor cuts. NHS inform
Renal and Hepatic Effects: Long-term, high-dose usage can cause kidney (renal) insufficiency or liver enzyme elevations, although this is less common with low-dose regimens. Mayo Clinic
Heart Failure Risk: Some recent studies indicate that prolonged, daily aspirin use may increase the risk of heart failure, even in individuals who previously had no cardiovascular disease. ScienceDirect.com
Along with the miasma of other substance abuse and a lifestyle of the poorest choices.
Stand back, folks. This tick is about to pop.
