I'm gay. Being gay doesn't automatically make a person kind, thoughtful, or reflective. (If only!)

If you're a sociopathic narcissistic selfish creep like Thiel it doesn't matter if you're straight or gay. You will do sociopathic narcissistic selfish things. Thiel knows that his money and power make him immune to homophobic bigots. Like most Republicans, his attitude, I'm sure, is "I've got mine Jack."

Does he feel any concern that the Republican Party has never been a friend to gay people? He feels no concern whatsoever.

Buying a piece of Trump has been and will be incredibly lucrative for Thiel and that's what matters to him.

This is true of all minorities who are Republicans. It's true of women who are Republicans. They figure that Republicans will help give them money and power and they don't care about anybody else.

The idea of a common good sounds foolish to them.
