Emmer is the successor to Michele Bachmann in MN CD6: QED. For years there was a persistent rumor about the so-called "Stearns County Syndrome," a condition said to be characterized by developmental disabilities and brought about by decades of inbreeding in that part of Minnesota, which includes CD6. It was studied and thoroughly debunked quite awhile ago, but now I'm beginning to wonder. Or maybe it only affects CD6 Congresscritters.
